About the position

The Senior Vice President of Operations at Crothall Healthcare plays a crucial role in the management team for the district, overseeing the planning, direction, evaluation, and control of operations to achieve financial and operational goals. This position involves providing guidance to Regional Directors and other managers while maintaining strong relationships with hospital clients in the Plant Operations Division.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Facilities Management with a proven track record of success.
  • Develop and measure strategic action plans.
  • Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate initiative and good judgment in assisting customers and clients.
  • Evaluate problems and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Manage accounts within a region to ensure compliance and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and business appointments.
  • Attend committee meetings to understand client needs.
  • Administer personnel policies consistently and fairly.
  • Manage planning, budget analysis, and reporting for the region.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and site visit reports.
  • Perform regional director audits at each client hospital site twice a year.
  • Support new business initiatives and start-ups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering highly preferred; bachelor's degree required.
  • Ten years of Multi Unit experience in Facilities Management in an acute care hospital required.
  • Experience in P&L management.
  • Union experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations.
  • Contract-managed service experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, ownership, multi-tasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in contract-managed services.
