About the position

The Vice President of Operations for Crothall Healthcare is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple units within the MD/DC area. This position involves strategic planning, management of regional directors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering strong relationships with hospital clients. The role emphasizes excellence in customer service and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participates in management team for the district, providing overall planning, direction, evaluation, and control of units.
• Guides and motivates Regional Directors and other Managers and associates.
• Establishes and maintains effective customer/client rapport with hospital clients in the Plant Operations Division.
• Ensures compliance with government and agency standards and profitability of the region.
• Conducts quarterly business reviews and site visit reports.
• Manages planning, budget analysis, and reporting for the Region.
• Conducts regional director audits at each client hospital site twice a year.
• Supports new business initiatives and start-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering highly preferred, Master's Degree preferred.
• Ten years of Multi Unit experience in Facilities Management in an acute care hospital required.
• Experience in P&L management.
• Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Union experience preferred.
• Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
• Contract-managed service experience preferred.
