About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Sage Restaurant Concepts is responsible for overseeing and developing cost-effective operations that meet corporate revenue and profit goals while ensuring high-quality food, beverages, and service. This role involves mentoring management teams, maintaining financial performance, and implementing operational standards across multiple locations. The VP will also focus on guest satisfaction, staff training, and the overall growth of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Create a team atmosphere among staff that is fun, lively, and professional.
  • Mentor teams to success and communicate needs and results to leadership regularly.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to high standards and drive results.
  • Manage through organizations and systems, implementing change effectively.
  • Increase guest counts and revenues while developing a loyal guest base.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels across all departments.
  • Reinforce thorough training and onboarding of employees.
  • Hold leaders accountable for timely performance reviews and improvement plans.
  • Maintain strong financial performance and achieve financial goals.
  • Develop and sign off on yearly unit level budgets for review by the COO.
  • Monitor and maintain cost control centers and develop cost savings programs.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and implement corrective plans.
  • Implement all Standard Operating Policies and Procedures across operations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on local marketing programs and strategies.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment with proper product storage and handling.
  • Assess management teams and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections to identify repair needs and manage CAPEX programs.
  • Oversee transitions of new properties and renovations, staying updated on industry trends.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Five years as a senior F&B Executive in high-volume settings.
  • Ability to work independently and make business decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership ability and high ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of food service health and sanitation regulations.
  • Experience with multi-million-dollar P&L responsibility.
  • Ability to train and interact with management and associates.
  • Proficient in reading reports and using computer systems.
