About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Sage Restaurant Concepts is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency of the company's restaurant and bar concepts. This role focuses on delivering high-quality food and service while ensuring profitability and guest satisfaction. The VP will lead management teams, mentor staff, and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth and maintain operational excellence across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate cost-effective operations to meet corporate revenue and profit goals.
  • Create a team atmosphere that is fun, lively, and professional among staff.
  • Mentor management teams to success and communicate needs and results to leadership.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to high standards and drive results.
  • Manage through organizations and systems, applying subject matter expertise in process management.
  • Increase guest counts and revenues while developing a loyal guest base.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels across all departments.
  • Reinforce thorough training and onboarding of employees.
  • Oversee timely performance reviews and performance improvement plans for associates and managers.
  • Maintain strong financial performance and achieve financial goals.
  • Develop and review yearly unit level budgets with the COO and ownership groups.
  • Monitor cost control centers and develop cost savings programs.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and implement corrective plans as needed.
  • Implement Standard Operating Policies and Procedures across all operations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop local marketing programs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment with proper product storage and handling.
  • Assess management teams and develop action plans for their growth.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections to identify repair needs and manage CAPEX programs.
  • Oversee transitions of new properties and renovations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Five years as a senior F&B Executive in high-volume settings.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High level of leadership ability and ethics.
  • Strong knowledge of food service health and sanitation regulations.
  • Experience with multi-million-dollar P&L responsibility.
  • Ability to train and interact effectively with management and associates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing marketing strategies for restaurants.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and ability to stay ahead of market direction.
