About the position

The Vice President of Operations will play a crucial role in the growth of a Commercial General Contractor based in Northern Virginia/DC. This newly created position is designed to support the operational aspects of the company, particularly in preconstruction and project management, while also participating in executive strategy discussions. The role offers the opportunity to be creative and contribute to the company's vision and growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Support the leaders of the preconstruction and project management departments.
  • Participate in executive strategy discussions surrounding business development and client pursuits.
  • Conduct P&L analysis and forecasting.
  • Manage hiring and personnel management processes.
  • Provide operational leadership and guidance to the team.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Washington DC commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Diverse commercial construction project experience, with a preference for new construction and interior experience.
  • Ability to be hands-on in a VP position and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of 10+ individuals.
  • Current or previous experience in a Director, Executive, or VP role.
