About the position

The Vice President of Operations (VPO) at Culinesse LLC is responsible for providing strategic leadership for current operations and the development of new senior living services. This role ensures compliance with regulations and operational excellence across various service areas, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The VPO collaborates closely with the executive team to achieve financial performance, growth, and high-quality service delivery, while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for current operations and new service development in senior living.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations through operational excellence.
• Lead the development and implementation of long-term and short-term strategic goals and objectives.
• Assess operational challenges and opportunities, developing improvement strategies with measurable results.
• Communicate goals and provide leadership direction to achieve them.
• Oversee execution of work plans associated with goals and objectives with key leaders.
• Participate in identifying new markets, products, services, and innovations for the organization.
• Build a culture of trust, accountability, and results-focus through effective communication.
• Lead the development and implementation of operational standards for consistent quality outcomes.
• Monitor lead and lag indicators related to operations to analyze success and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage large projects, establishing action plans and executing within budgetary constraints.
• Engage in the development process of new construction projects, focusing on operations decisions.
• Coordinate annual budgetary planning processes in collaboration with Finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of proven leadership experience, including 5-8 years in progressive leadership roles in assisted living and senior housing industries.
• Strong understanding of operational systems from a corporate and local perspective.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically and communicate a vision for the company.
• Highly effective communicator in person and in writing, with strong listening skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food service management (10 years preferred).
