About the position

The Vice President of Operations at RPM Living is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Regional Vice Presidents. This position focuses on providing strategic and tactical leadership to enhance operational performance, develop new business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including owners, landlords, tenants, and vendors. The VP will ensure financial results align with corporate goals while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of up to four Regional Vice Presidents.
  • Recruit and interview candidates for Regional Vice President positions.
  • Conduct 1-on-1 meetings for coaching, conflict resolution, and performance reviews.
  • Manage HR issues and oversee onboarding and training of team members.
  • Coach multifamily team members to success and hold individuals accountable for achieving results.
  • Ensure alignment of individual priorities with overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners and clients.
  • Provide ethical leadership and ensure high standards of conduct across the multifamily platform.
  • Monitor monthly financial reviews and ensure sites meet budget goals.
  • Identify and implement new business opportunities for increasing revenue potential.
  • Create and implement action plans for underperforming assets.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of multifamily property management leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of success in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
  • Strong background in managing diverse types of multifamily communities.
  • Significant P&L responsibility.
  • Advanced proficiency in managing large and/or complex multifamily portfolios.
  • Demonstrated results in driving transformative strategic initiatives and performance management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial analysis and comparisons to support performance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with technology solutions for performance analytics.
