About the position

The Vice President of Operations at RK Industries, LLC is a senior executive role responsible for leading the strategic planning and performance optimization of all operational units. This position oversees various departments including Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, stay within budget, and adhere to timelines. The VP of Operations champions continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates with department leaders to align on shared goals and resources, while also managing financial oversight and talent development within the Operations Department.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and performance optimization of all operational units.
• Foster a collaborative environment by providing guidance and support to director-level direct reports.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with department leaders to ensure all projects meet quality standards, stay within budget, and adhere to timelines.
• Conduct monthly project and operational reviews to evaluate performance and financial metrics.
• Oversee and guide the implementation of standardized policies and procedures.
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Partner closely with Quality Control to maintain rigorous quality assurance practices.
• Direct staffing and succession planning efforts within the Operations Department.
• Oversee the employee performance review process and manage compensation and bonus administration.
• Accountable for the financial health of the Operations Department, including budget preparation and financial reporting.
• Work closely with other department leaders to align on shared goals and resources.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in a senior executive role.
• Master's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Proven track record of implementing strategies that align with company vision and objectives.
• Experience in leading short- and long-term strategic initiatives.
