About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Pediatric Home Service is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing branch operations across the Upper Midwest. This position focuses on directing and coordinating activities across multiple departments to ensure the highest standard of care for patients. The VP will develop long-range goals, manage staff, and collaborate with executive leadership to drive operational success and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the direction of all customer-facing and enabling branch employees.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports and participate in hiring and termination processes.
  • Coordinate and evaluate all departments, analyzing activities, costs, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Executive VP of Market Outreach to review goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate with insurance payers and contract managers to ensure financial performance.
  • Establish sales activities and plans in conjunction with the Chief Strategy Officer.
  • Create monthly PI reports and meet with the executive team weekly to review financial analyses, business planning, strategic goals, and initiatives.
  • Advocate for the organization within industry associations.
  • Work with patients, families, and internal departments to address and resolve concerns and issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and Master's Degree in a health-affiliated or business-affiliated field or Registered Nurse (R.N.) license / RT license with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience required and knowledge of medical management clinical review criteria, processes, and techniques.
  • 7+ years of managerial experience.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and present information effectively.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in home health care, is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, including staff development, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in software systems.
