About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Apicii Hospitality is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing food and beverage operations across multiple locations. This position focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a proven track record in operational efficiency and revenue optimization. This role requires collaboration with various departments and a deep understanding of the Seattle market.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership and management of the financials, including cost control and inventory management.
  • Developing strategies to improve profit, including estimating costs and benefits and exploring new programming opportunities.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.
  • Ensuring compliance with food and beverage policies, health and safety regulations, and labor laws through training and supervision.
  • Interviewing and hiring management employees with the appropriate skills for operational needs.
  • Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence others, advocating for sound financial decisions.
  • Exemplifying exceptional service and creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Leading initiatives for operational improvements and updating executives and peers on relevant information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a director or senior management role overseeing multi-unit, high-volume restaurants, bars, and hotels.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Experience in opening new properties in multiple US markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving financial targets and improving operational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of economic and accounting principles, P/L statements, and management operating budgets.
  • Superior knowledge of food and beverage, including various cuisine types and cooking techniques.
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in various restaurant management software.
