About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Wayspring is responsible for overseeing the performance of the organization's substance use disorder (SUD) Home solution in collaboration with various health plans in Kentucky. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations, value-based care, and population health models to drive program outcomes and meet key performance indicators. The VP will engage with staff and stakeholders to address market-specific challenges and ensure operational excellence across all initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the performance of Wayspring's SUD Home solution in partnership with multiple health plans across Kentucky.
  • Responsible for P&L management and program outcomes, partnership opportunities, in-market initiatives, and overall value delivered to health plan clients.
  • Partner with care delivery team for solutions, adjusting target areas of focus for performance management, staffing needs, and engagement strategy as necessary.
  • Collaborate with centralized shared services teams to develop insights on operating performance and clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure all market operations meet or exceed clinical targets, SLAs, and KPIs, implementing action plans as needed.
  • Partner with other providers in the state for workflow integration and collaboration in at-risk populations.
  • Exude strong communication skills both internally and externally with client stakeholders.
  • Participate in the healthcare professional community to maintain Wayspring's representation and knowledge of the healthcare landscape.

Requirements

  • Deep operational experience in healthcare organizations, including risk arrangements and population health care models, with a minimum of ten years.
  • Strong operational execution skills with a proven track record of reaching goals and delivering outcomes.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated domain expertise with a clear understanding of healthcare workflows and practical use of information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Inspirational leader capable of leading teams to success.
  • Ability to work in both team and individual settings, including direct customer interaction.
