About the position

The Regional Vice President of Operations (VPO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership for current operations and the development of new senior living services. This role ensures compliance with regulations and operational excellence across various aspects of the organization, including clinical management, marketing, and team culture. The VPO collaborates closely with the executive team to enhance service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance while driving growth and expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for operations and development of new senior living services.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations through operational excellence.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Oversee operations for independent living, assisted living, and memory care support.
  • Assess operational challenges and develop improvement strategies with measurable results.
  • Communicate goals and provide leadership direction to achieve them.
  • Participate in identifying new markets, products, and services for the organization.
  • Build a culture of trust, accountability, and results-focus through effective communication.
  • Lead the development and implementation of operational standards for consistent quality outcomes.
  • Monitor operational indicators to analyze success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage large projects, including developing action plans and executing within budgetary constraints.
  • Engage in the development process of new construction projects related to services and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.
  • Over 15 years of proven leadership experience, including 5-8 years in progressive leadership roles in assisted living and senior housing industries.
  • Strong understanding of operational systems from both corporate and local perspectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and communicate a vision for the company.
  • Highly effective communicator with strong listening skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in food service management (10 years preferred).
