About the position

The Vice President of Operations at UWorld will lead and oversee operations activities across assigned departments, ensuring the company maintains its position as a leading education provider. This role is pivotal in driving the company's mission to enhance learning and support the growth of students and professionals. The VP will work closely with department managers and executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives, improve processes, and ensure effective departmental functioning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities for assigned departments.
• Ensure that assigned departments are fully staffed with top performers in collaboration with department managers and directors.
• Provide mentoring and identify professional development needs for direct reports.
• Communicate and implement the strategic direction of assigned departments.
• Collaborate with COO and other executive leadership to develop and meet company goals.
• Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve operations.
• Establish and implement policies, practices, standards, and security measures for effective departmental support.
• Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
• Establish and administer assigned budgets and present performance reports to executive leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends that may impact the company.

Requirements

• MBA or equivalent required.
• At least 15 years of industry-related experience, including 5 years in upper management.
• EdTech/Education Industry experience strongly preferred.
