About the position

The Vice President of Operations at American Orthopedic Partners is responsible for overseeing the operational success of core practices within the organization. This role involves leading a team to enhance efficiency and quality across practices, utilizing a dyad model to align local decision-making with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical skills to drive operational excellence and support the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategic and operational aspects of core practices alongside local practice directors and physician presidents.
  • Collaborate with local practice leadership to develop and establish best practices for operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other executives to drive operational efficiency and create cohesive workflows.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze operational data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with local practice board and AOP executive leadership to develop and execute operational strategies.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentor direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • MBA, MHA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in orthopedic leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in orthopedic practice management.
  • Experience in process improvement and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
