About the position

The Vice President of Operations will lead the Community Centers, focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This strategic role requires an accomplished leader to manage complex operations, develop innovative programs, and foster a collaborative culture. The VP will oversee center leadership, drive member engagement, and implement initiatives to strengthen the community and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Think, communicate, and behave as a cause-driven leader and role model for staff and members.
  • Supervise center leadership and staff to ensure sound operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the centers by coaching direct reports and executives.
  • Model relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of plans for maintenance and improvements to existing properties and facilities.
  • Monitor monthly financial reports to ensure revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to align financial performance with Association targets and goals.
  • Work with other leaders on the Executive Team to ensure cross collaboration throughout YMCA Business lines.
  • Grow and develop cause-driven leaders through coaching and professional development plans.
  • Assist executive directors with budget processes and strategic plan implementation.
  • Ensure center directors understand and plan for the annual campaign, providing necessary training and leadership.
  • Monitor key results areas and provide effective management by anticipating problems and taking corrective action.
  • Work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community.
  • Adhere to all policies related to abuse risk management and provide ongoing training to staff.
