About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Diamond Mowers, LLC is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes and operations of the company. This position requires a values-based leader who can drive change in a rapidly growing organization, ensuring that products are manufactured to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals. The VP of Operations will report directly to the CEO and will be tasked with creating a world-class manufacturing organization while fostering a safety-based culture and developing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable the operations team.
• Develop a safety-based culture within the organization.
• Establish and implement the strategic direction of the operations division.
• Produce products that meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Manage the departmental budget and ensure alignment with the organization's business plan.
• Identify training needs and ensure proper training is provided for all employees.
• Review and approve cost-control reports and staffing requirements.
• Present periodic performance reports to the executive leadership team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
• At least 15 years of industry-related experience, including three years in upper management.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Extensive knowledge of industry principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in building and scaling teams and systems.
• Background in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
