About the position

St. Paul's Senior Services is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee the operational aspects of their senior living facilities. This strategic role involves supervising Executive Directors and Directors across various housing operations, ensuring high-quality care and services for residents. The VP of Operations will be responsible for community engagement, budget management, and the development of new housing initiatives, all while enhancing the overall experience for seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Executive Directors and Directors of assigned operational areas.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of residential care facilities and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Enhance resident, family, and team member engagement.
  • Drive recruitment, training, and retention of leadership staff.
  • Establish and evaluate performance metrics for Executive Directors and Directors.
  • Provide customized training to address performance gaps.
  • Develop and manage vendor and internal relationships to support strategic objectives.
  • Guide budget preparation and financial management for community operations.
  • Monitor risk management activities and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to communities within the assigned region.
  • Support the development and implementation of annual community budgets and occupancy goals.
  • Track satisfaction survey results and implement action plans with Executive Directors.
  • Collaborate with COO and Senior Leadership on organizational strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

  • California Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and/or Residential Care for the Elderly certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Over five years of experience in affordable housing or healthcare facility administration at a senior level.
  • Advanced knowledge of nursing home and senior living operations.
  • Familiarity with various senior living industry services and models.
  • Understanding of strategic planning, management, and supervision principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting information systems and budgeting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PACE and Sales/Marketing collaboration.
  • Knowledge of laws regulating the senior living industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
