About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Specialty1 Partners is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing practice operations across multiple regions. This position is crucial for ensuring sustainable growth, building strong relationships, and implementing best practices that align with the company's vision. The VP will support approximately 130 locations and lead a team of Regional Directors, focusing on operational excellence and high-quality support for specialty dental practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a quarterly field visit plan, with bi-weekly site visits to engage with practices and lead direct reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner and associate doctors, communicating Specialty1 Partners' vision and addressing escalated issues as needed.
  • Oversee onboarding and off-boarding for associates, including growth planning and practice support during transitions.
  • Coordinate and resolve payroll issues, working closely with HR, Payroll, and the SVP of Operations.
  • Mentor and develop Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs), supporting individual growth and alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct monthly operational reviews with RDOs, develop SMART action plans and drive accountability.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies in practices, improving productivity and margins.
  • Collaborate with department heads on strategic initiatives related to recruiting, marketing, and practice transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and SOPs in partnership with the compliance team.
  • Lead and measure the impact of strategic initiatives, refining processes for optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management within a healthcare or dental support setting.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development, mentoring, and accountability.
  • Expertise in operational planning, process optimization, and change management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing and engaging partners and staff.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills for KPI monitoring and reporting.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG), Smartsheet, and workflow tools.
