About the position

The Vice President of Operations at Roc Solid Foundation plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing daily operations across various departments to ensure the effective execution of the organization's mission. This position is responsible for managing core programs, including the distribution of Playsets and Ready Bags to families affected by pediatric cancer, while also handling internal functions such as Finance, Human Resources, and Warehouse Operations. The VP will align operational activities with strategic objectives, create scalable processes, and foster a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to the organization's overall strategy and direction.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop long-term operational strategies that align with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Lead, mentor and manage the department heads for Playsets, Ready Bags and Warehouse Operations, ensuring effective and cohesive operations.
  • Oversee the operations and distribution of Playsets to ensure timely delivery and high-quality installation.
  • Manage Build Leader coordination for Playset builds in local communities, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee partnerships with hospital networks and relationships with child life specialists for Ready Bags distribution.
  • Manage the registration process for families receiving Ready Bags, tracking inventory and ensuring timely distribution.
  • Oversee warehouse operations for efficient storage, organization, and distribution of materials.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across all departments to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of Senior leadership experience in operations, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Proven experience managing diverse teams and multiple departments, including finance, HR, and program operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, GoogleSuite.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
