About the position

The Vice President of Operations at SERVPRO of Hyde Park, Central Austin is a senior leadership role responsible for executing the company's vision in collaboration with ownership. This position involves extensive travel to various offices to assess operational strengths and weaknesses, implementing strategic plans based on SWOT analyses, and ensuring accountability and efficiency across the organization. The VP will oversee performance metrics, foster a positive workplace culture, and lead discussions on financial management and resource mobilization for disaster response.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ownership to understand the business vision and translate it into actionable processes and procedures.
  • Conduct comprehensive SWOT analyses on an annual basis and use the findings to develop and implement a strategic plan for operational processes.
  • Develop and manage Key Performance Metrics (KPMs) to monitor performance at weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
  • Perform monthly office visits to assess successes and failures, identify coaching opportunities, and tailor training programs to each office's needs.
  • Manage weekly safety meetings and training programs, ensuring consistency and addressing specific office issues.
  • Foster a positive culture in each office, promoting the company's core values of Urgency, Process, Quality, and Accountability.
  • Work with the HR Manager and General Manager to identify organizational chart shortcomings and make necessary changes to support the company's vision and strategy.
  • Attend ownership meetings, participate in KPM adherence and discussions, and provide insights on P&L management.
  • Lead weekly discussions with the CFO and owners on cost control, margin management, and strategic adjustments.
  • Develop strategies on mobilizing resources for responding to catastrophic events.
  • Develop strategies when acquiring new office locations including rollout process, training schedules, business evaluation, and promote the company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a senior operations role, demonstrating a successful track record in process implementation and management.
  • Strong analytical and business planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a focus on fostering accountability and a positive work environment.
  • Industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing KPMs and a deep understanding of P&L dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
  • Dedication to upholding and promoting the company's core values.
