About the position

The Vice President of Operations at CoxHealth is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for various procedural operations, including surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP lab, respiratory therapy, and lab services. This role involves developing and implementing departmental strategies focused on growth, team development, financial performance, and vendor contracting. The Vice President will collaborate closely with medical directors and other departments within the healthcare system to ensure effective operations across the six hospitals in the CoxHealth network.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for procedural operations including surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, and EP lab.
• Develop and implement overall department strategy focusing on growth and team development.
• Engage with providers and staff to enhance provider and staff engagement.
• Oversee financial performance and budget planning for the operations department.
• Manage contracting with vendors and physicians to ensure quality service delivery.
• Build strong relationships with service line medical directors and other stakeholders across the healthcare system.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, public, and external agencies.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent conflict management and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in personnel development.
