About the position

The Vice President of Operations at USX Federal Credit Union is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational functions of the credit union. This position aims to enhance employee effectiveness and performance while ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The VP will supervise branch operations, manage compliance initiatives, and develop policies to support the credit union's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the branch office network by supervising AVP of Operations, EFT and Compliance Managers.
• Act as a resource empowering managers to resolve member concerns and perform complex transactions.
• Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
• Develop procedures to ensure professional distribution and tracking of Credit Union products and services.
• Maintain policies related to the Bank Secrecy Act and Red Flag Program.
• Identify industry trends and evaluate products and services with the Senior Management team.
• Hire, direct, and evaluate employee performance for direct reports.
• Represent the Credit Union with community representatives and business partners.
• Oversee member problem resolution and work with auditors on annual audits.
• Participate in establishing and implementing strategic initiatives related to operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of progressive relevant work experience in a credit union or community-banking environment.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Self-directed with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of NCUA or Federal Banking regulations.
• Ability to convey complex financial information to employees.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Working knowledge of core processing systems and personal computer applications.
