About the position

The VP Platform Marketing at ABC Fitness Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing product marketing, channel marketing, and partner marketing. This position plays a crucial role in defining the go-to-market strategy for the company's platforms, ensuring effective product launches and sales channel enablement. The VP will lead a team of product marketers and collaborate with various departments to educate buyers, attract the right audience, and generate interest in the company's offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Establish GTM approach in collaboration with product, finance, sales, and corporate marketing for new product introductions and feature releases.
  • Translate growth goals into marketing strategies, identifying the right personas, messaging, assets, and tactics.
  • Function as a knowledge leader for product, market, and demand generation programs for the platform team.
  • Work with demand generation and marketing analytics to optimize the marketing funnel for both self-serve and high-touch sales motions.
  • Develop buyer personas, customer segmentation, and campaign messaging.
  • Collaborate with corporate brand and growth teams to create quarterly GTM plans and enable outbound sales teams to achieve growth targets.
  • Partner closely with Demand Gen/Growth to collaborate on new and existing campaigns and content, ensuring clear communication.
  • Manage a small team of Product Marketing Managers, ensuring alignment of roles and responsibilities and fostering collaboration.
  • Lead platform solution marketers to develop market intelligence and client intimacy to anticipate trends and deliver engaging content.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and impactful insights for strategies to drive product launch plans with the right buyer persona.
  • Create a sales enablement plan to ensure the success of client-facing teams.
  • Work with CMO and executive leadership to provide critical thought leadership presentations to stakeholders.
  • Develop, hire, and retain emerging leaders within the organization.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant SaaS or software marketing experience with increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Experience with product-led growth (PLG) and traditional sales-led motions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for analyzing campaign performance data.
  • Impeccable communication skills, including presentation, copywriting, and speech writing abilities.
  • Exceptional listening skills to understand both spoken and unspoken communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate priorities.
  • Proficiency with Pragmatic Marketing or similar frameworks.
