About the position

The Vice President of Product Engineering will lead the Engineering and Application Development department, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the company's current and future needs. This role involves strategic planning, project oversight, and collaboration with executive leadership to drive engineering initiatives and improve organizational processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee activities in the Engineering and Application Development department.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff in the department.
• Manage offshore and vendor teams.
• Oversee the daily workflow of the department and provide performance evaluations.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and high quality.
• Continuously communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Establish and implement the strategic direction of engineering and development initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet organizational goals.
• Identify and implement new technologies to improve processes.
• Ensure departmental decisions align with the organization's business plan and vision.
• Establish and implement engineering and development policies and standards.
• Negotiate cost-effective contracts and resolve disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• At least fifteen years of related experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Experience building EHR/EMR systems.
