About the position

The Vice President of Product Management, Data and AI/ML at Workiva is a strategic leadership role responsible for the overall product strategy and direction of the company's data-driven platform and AI solutions. This position requires a visionary leader who is passionate about leveraging data and AI to create intelligent products that enhance customer experiences. The VP will collaborate with various executive and functional leaders to shape the future of data and intelligence within the Workiva Platform, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and driving product innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the work of the Product Management team, identifying macro-trends in business needs and software product requirements.
  • Define and drive global strategic product goals for the data platform and AI innovations.
  • Encourage growth, innovation, and collaboration among product managers and their teams.
  • Ensure synchronization of customer discovery across multiple teams to identify macro-trends.
  • Align data platform capabilities with the broader Workiva Platform vision.
  • Communicate strategic purposes for product development across Product Managers and related teams.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on strategic objectives of Product Management and company goals.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Data and AI/ML, sharing best practices across the company.
  • Foster relationships with internal teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Partners to meet customer requirements.
  • Influence future business strategy at the leadership level.
  • Build a strong organization with high employee engagement by attracting and developing talent.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to employees.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of respect, support, and commitment to business goals.
  • Match staff skills to tasks for optimal engagement and performance.
  • Reward superior performance to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and senior management.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related fields.
  • 15+ years experience delivering software products used by external end-users.
  • 7+ years of people management experience.
  • 3+ years focused on data and analytics products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Entrepreneurial experience managing multiple functions of an operation.
  • Proven success driving product strategy and releases in a comparable environment.
  • Knowledge of working in a FedRAMP or heavily regulated data environment.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Expertise in leveraging AI technologies to enhance platform value.
  • Deep understanding of the data landscape including data lakes and cloud data warehouses.
  • Ability to multitask to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of leading high performing product teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Salary range of $246,000.00 - $325,000.00
