About the position

The Vice President of Product Marketing at ActiveCampaign is responsible for developing and driving the product messaging strategy and value proposition for the market. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in understanding customer needs, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics. The VP will collaborate with various teams, including performance marketing, brand, product, and revenue, to ensure effective storytelling and consistent articulation of the product's unique value. The position demands extensive experience in SaaS B2B product marketing and a proven track record in bringing new products to market successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Drive research to ensure comprehensive and deep customer understanding, integrating that knowledge into GTM teams.
  • Design and build an impactful Product Marketing team.
  • Work with marketing and revenue executives to develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance ActiveCampaign's performance and market share.
  • Drive the strategy and plan for product launches and releases across all GTM teams.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and revenue teams to optimize GTM processes for innovation and performance improvement.
  • Enable revenue teams to articulate the value proposition and market story through training, tools, and content.
  • Drive compelling, differentiated product positioning and messaging.
  • Conduct competitive insights and analysis to ensure differentiation and speed to market.
  • Collaborate with brand and revenue leaders to align targeting and messaging for GTM programs and campaigns.
  • Serve as a public storyteller, engaging with analysts, press, and customers directly.
  • Partner with product management throughout the product development life-cycle.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Marketing or related field, primarily in product marketing.
  • 8+ years in people leadership roles.
  • Experience in SaaS and MarTech or adjacent industries.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills for internal and external communication of product value.
  • Superb communication skills across all mediums and levels of the organization.
  • Proven success in planning, building, and executing GTM processes with revenue and product partners.
  • Experience in both SMB and Enterprise B2B is preferred.
