About the position

Protegrity is seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing to spearhead our next phase of growth. This pivotal role reports directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, Chris Gaebler, and will involve collaboration with various teams including Marketing, Product, and Sales. The Vice President will be instrumental in developing innovative positioning, messaging, and sales enablement strategies that resonate with our target audience and effectively communicate the value of our solutions. This position is crucial for Protegrity's growth trajectory, providing the opportunity to engage with senior executives from some of the world's largest companies, as well as their technical teams. In this role, you will oversee the global go-to-market strategy for Product Marketing Management (PMM), ensuring alignment with company goals and key stakeholders such as sales and product development teams. You will act as a thought leader and spokesperson across multiple channels, including analyst briefings, public relations, industry events, and customer publications. Your responsibilities will also include serving as a trusted consultant for the Sales team, actively participating in sales cycles, and leading a PMM organization that values iteration and customer feedback. This includes developing a repeatable feedback loop across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Services to ensure our strategy and positioning are consistently aligned. You will lead the development of Protegrity's positioning, messaging, and content strategy for our diverse product portfolio, collaborating closely with Sales Enablement to create impactful sales content. Additionally, you will establish a robust competitive intelligence framework to inform high-impact sales strategies and product roadmap decisions. As a mentor to the PMM team, you will invest in their professional development while partnering with Product Management and Field organizations to define a compelling marketing strategy. This includes identifying our Total Addressable Market (TAM), marketing themes, and competitive positioning, as well as iterating on our go-to-market motions and pricing strategies. Your efforts will reinforce Protegrity's position as a market leader through compelling product positioning tied to our key differentiators, while also engaging with Analyst Relations to promote our market perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee global go-to-market approach for PMM in alignment with company goals and stakeholders.

  • Partner with Product Management and Field organizations to define marketing strategy.
  • Define and iterate on go-to-market motions, sales engagement processes, and pricing strategies.
  • Reinforce Protegrity's market leadership through compelling product positioning.
  • Engage with Analyst Relations to promote our market perspective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience within B2B high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Product marketing leadership background in Cloud technology, Security, or DevOps required.
  • Experience conducting competitor and customer research to gather insights.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Strong analytical mind with quantitative skills to simplify complex ideas.
  • Knowledge of technology and its application to customer business needs.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, especially to executive leadership.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Creative thinker willing to take risks and learn from failures.
  • Ability to manage key leading and lagging KPIs.
