About the position

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Comprehensive Logistics Co. Inc. is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sales strategies and managing customer relationships within the automotive and industrial sectors. This position focuses on expanding the company's market presence, particularly in the automotive industry, while also exploring growth opportunities in non-automotive markets. The role requires collaboration with product teams to develop logistics solutions that meet customer needs and ensure contract renewals and extensions. The VP will oversee the sales pipeline and implement effective sales methodologies based on market research and competitor analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the national pipeline of potential distribution center management customers.
  • Focus on the automotive target market, including major clients like Ford, GM, and Stellantis.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies specific to automotive customers.
  • Create and execute sales strategies for targeted growth in select non-automotive OEM markets, particularly in the vertical industrial segment.
  • Collaborate with the product team to propose logistics solutions that translate into closed business deals.
  • Extend or renew existing contracts and identify opportunities for customer growth in new geographic locations and industries.
  • Develop and implement a sales selling cycle and methodology based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Support pricing and business models.

Requirements

  • Must have experience selling to Automotive OEM indirect purchasing groups.
  • Thorough understanding of the math behind costing and pricing.
  • Experience with specific sales funnel management and structuring sales quotas.
  • Ten plus years of experience in third-party logistics automotive sales.
  • Working knowledge or experience in comprehensive supply chain solutions, including warehouse management systems and labor solutions.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Skill in the operation of various computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales CRM.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Logistics.
