About the position

The VP of Sales is a newly created role at a rapidly expanding and reputable cosmetics company. This position is responsible for developing a new distribution plan for the domestic market, including Canada, and maintaining established relationships with key accounts. The VP will consult with the CEO on business strategies and market opportunities, manage promotional calendars, and execute advertising strategies to enhance client retention and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new distribution plans for the domestic market including Canada.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
  • Consult with the CEO on business strategies and market opportunities.
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses of business opportunities to mitigate risks.
  • Develop a marketing calendar aligned with yearly goals.
  • Manage promotional conflict calendars effectively.
  • Plan and execute advertising strategies to enhance brand visibility.
  • Implement client retention strategies using appropriate mediums.
  • Manage budgets and profit objectives for the company.
  • Plan, implement, control, and deliver annual stock and sales plans and profitability goals.
  • Manage P&L of assigned accounts to make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the cosmetics sector.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Experience in managing key accounts and building long-term relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business opportunities and risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budget management and profit optimization.

Nice-to-haves
