About the position

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Crescent Hotels & Resorts in the New York Region is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing functions across a portfolio of hotels. This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in the hotel industry, focusing on developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue and achieve market share objectives. The role emphasizes effective communication with ownership, corporate leadership, and property teams, while also mentoring property leadership teams to enhance performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Sales & Marketing functions for a portfolio of hotels in the New York Region.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue and achieve market share objectives.
  • Act as a mentor to property leadership teams, providing guidance and support.
  • Serve as a liaison with property ownership to ensure proactive communication and understanding of needs.
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor Sales Action Plans for hotel teams.
  • Support, train, and coach sales teams to achieve objectives and performance standards.
  • Direct and implement appropriate sales policies and practices.
  • Assist in establishing the annual expense budget and review monthly forecasts for accuracy.
  • Work with hotels to establish optimal pricing and booking guidelines through the RFP process.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of proven success in driving revenue growth in a VP/Regional Hotel Sales role.
  • Residence in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area.
  • Strong understanding of the New York hotel & hospitality market.
  • Ability to strategically analyze data and make informed decisions.
