About the position

The Vice President of Sales is a pivotal role within a healthcare technology innovator, responsible for leading and growing the sales team while actively engaging in high-value sales activities. This player-coach position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and a proven track record in closing deals, particularly within the healthcare vertical. The role focuses on building a robust book of business, managing both new client acquisition and retention strategies, and driving process improvements to meet growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team while actively engaging in sales activities.
  • Build and grow a book of business over time, focusing on both net new and retention/upsell opportunities.
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline management, and deal strategy to achieve growth targets.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years focused on business development in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience selling AI solutions and digital transformation or software is required.
  • Previous management or team lead experience is preferred, with the ability to wear multiple hats as needed.
