About the position

The Vice President of Sales at ADP is responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to sales associates, ensuring the achievement of sales goals while fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism. This role involves managing a large sales team, developing business plans, and collaborating with other functional areas to drive revenue, profit, and client retention objectives. The position emphasizes the importance of coaching and developing team members, maintaining employee relations, and ensuring compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and leadership to sales associates to achieve sales goals.
  • Prepare a business plan to identify how the area/regions will achieve assigned sales goals.
  • Manage the area's net sales expense (NSE) and set-up expense budget objectives.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and direction to direct reports for their professional growth.
  • Manage the implementation of Career Development and succession plans for team members.
  • Obtain written action plans from sales management to improve performance of underperforming sales personnel.
  • Oversee human resource management activities, including staffing levels and employee retention rates.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure smooth implementation of sales processes.
  • Prepare Monthly Situation Reports and establish a Master Prospect List for forecasting.
  • Review corporate lead generating activities and provide feedback to the Division Vice President.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of total sales experience with substantial senior sales management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a large sales team effectively.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and business planning capability.
  • Experience partnering with General Management and Operations to achieve sales objectives.
  • Military experience is recognized and valued as an acceptable alternative to a college degree.
