The Vice President of Sales at Tofurky is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and business development in the plant-based food industry. This position involves developing and implementing sales strategies across various channels, managing a team of Sales Directors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align product launches and promotions with market demands. The VP of Sales will leverage financial analysis and data insights to inform decision-making and ensure the company's financial objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth across multiple channels, including retail, foodservice, and international distribution.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to deliver accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial planning.
  • Utilize CRM tools to direct and track customer relationships, sales pipelines, and team performance.
  • Lead channel-specific directors and manage product portfolios, optimizing product performance and profitability.
  • Use market and consumer insights to inform portfolio decisions and sales approaches.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies that enhance profitability and drive competitive advantage.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, providing strategic direction and performance feedback.
  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on product launches and promotions.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, providing regular updates to the executive team on sales performance and market conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 15+ years in sales leadership roles, preferably within the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with a background in financial analysis, sales forecasting, and budget management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performance teams, particularly within food, CPG, or plant-based sectors.
  • Experience working with retail, food service, and distribution channels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainability and plant-based food innovation.
  • Experience in publicly traded companies, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and investor relations.
  • Expertise in channel management, product portfolio optimization, and broker strategy.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to drive business decisions and manage sales pipelines.
