Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cohesive brand strategy across distribution channels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the agriculture sector.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices to market new products and expand distribution channels.
  • Lead development of marketing strategies and programs while managing new product marketing and launch planning.
  • Utilize data to develop and execute optimized annual and long-range marketing plans.
  • Evaluate and adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market conditions.
  • Analyze data to identify and prioritize highest value prospects and allocate marketing resources accordingly.
  • Oversee the creation of focused go-to-market campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure proper execution of strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve processes across all brands and marketing campaigns.
  • Recruit, select, develop, motivate, and evaluate the Marketing team.
  • Assess talent and determine the division of responsibilities within the team.
  • Establish performance standards and provide feedback to improve employee performance.
  • Communicate business expectations and goals to the team and be responsible for results.
  • Assist team members in creating ongoing career development plans.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and outside vendors for high-impact creativity.
  • Build relationships throughout the association to align priorities with business objectives.
  • Define and nurture a collaborative and member-oriented marketing community.
  • Ensure strong partnerships and alignment with overall communications strategy.
  • Provide clear messaging to internal department leaders regarding key initiatives and changes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to define, measure, and report ROI and KPIs of marketing initiatives.
  • Report findings and progress updates to Senior Management and Board.
  • Serve as a role model for the association's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Work closely with Senior Management in defining the marketing team's strategic direction.
  • Ensure collaboration between Marketing, lenders, and field sales leaders in campaign development.
  • Identify and execute efficient practices and data-driven growth strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Oversee allocation of marketing budget to meet financial and strategic goals.
  • Implement and drive SEO strategies to improve online visibility.
  • Execute and optimize SEM/paid advertising campaigns to drive targeted traffic.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement content optimization strategies.
  • Generate reports on the performance of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to create and sustain positive relationships with governmental officials and trade groups.
  • Lead efforts to shape legislative policy and regulations impacting the Association's operations.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, industry relations, and/or sales, including 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, organizational leadership, or agriculture; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of marketing and communications best practices.
  • Expert oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • General knowledge of credit administration and portfolio management procedures.
  • Skill in identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long-range goals.
  • Skill in planning and coordinating large complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating, and developing diverse teams.
  • Skill in thinking creatively and utilizing emotional intelligence.
  • Skill in negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with various organizations and individuals.
  • Skill in analyzing data and information to formulate logical conclusions.
  • Skill in media relations.
