About the position

The Vice President of Technical Operations (VP Tech Ops) at Xtreme Aviation is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the FAA 145 Repair Station. This position ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and industry standards while maintaining high safety and quality levels. The VP Tech Ops will lead a team of technical professionals, develop personnel, and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all personnel in the Operations department to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
• Provide oversight for the Director of Heavy/Line Maintenance, ensuring proper supervision and training for maintenance practices.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), manufacturer specifications, and internal quality standards in maintenance operations.
• Oversee the submission of service difficulty reports and defect notifications as per regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accurate execution and documentation of all maintenance tasks, including maintenance records and reports.
• Develop and implement corrective action programs for discrepancies identified during maintenance operations or audits.
• Maintain up-to-date technical data, including manufacturer manuals and FAA-approved data.
• Ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts used in the repair station to prevent reuse of unserviceable components.
• Coordinate with the VP of Quality & Safety to ensure personnel training meets regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and report all accidents involving aircraft, equipment, or facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within an FAA 145 Repair Station.
• Certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 with a thorough understanding of applicable regulations under 14 CFR Part 145.
• Proficient in English with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse technical team.
• Familiarity with various types of maintenance equipment and best practices.
