About the position

The Vice President of Open Banking Product Management Consulting at Mastercard is a global leadership role responsible for driving the development and execution of consulting solutions in the Open Banking sector. This position focuses on leveraging Mastercard's resources to deliver high-quality consultancy services, ensuring alignment with market needs, and maximizing revenue opportunities. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate diverse global markets while fostering innovation in consulting products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive thought leadership of open banking in multiple regions worldwide.
  • Determine and drive the open banking consultancy product innovation agenda and product road map.
  • Ensure flawless delivery of the consultancy services product and maintain the highest standards of quality in customer relationships.
  • Work around the world and be sensitive to differences in markets' stages of development, growing the OB business and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Deliver the Open Banking Consulting revenue target.
  • Be an important source of intellectual insight on a client project, framing business problems for execution.
  • Bring deep open banking functional knowledge and expertise to client projects.
  • Build and prioritize the consulting product roadmap for open banking in collaboration with peers and third-party consultancies.
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities to advise companies on open banking.
  • Ensure consultancy capabilities are aligned with market needs and capitalize on Mastercard's services roadmap.
  • Develop and write content to establish an external and internal narrative for open banking.
  • Develop and refine delivery models to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Work with clients and the delivery team to clearly define projects and ensure timely delivery to high standards.
  • Source data and commission market research to inform consultancy projects.
  • Display strong leadership of a small team, inspiring and developing a collaborative high-performance culture.
  • Interface with Mastercard leadership to represent the suite of products.
  • Work closely with open banking leadership and team members across various departments.
  • Accountability for delivering top and bottom-line success globally.

Requirements

  • Experience working with financial institutions as a strategic management consultant.
  • Background in building consulting products/solutions and developing intellectual capital in international consulting organizations.
  • Comfort with rigorous and advanced analytics.
  • Experience successfully leading teams and developing talent.
  • Motivated by a fast-paced environment with a reputation for impact.
  • Proven track record in project management, leading initiatives from strategic planning through tactical execution.
  • Ability to quickly learn about new technologies and demonstrate subject matter expertise.
  • Results-driven, solutions and customer-focused with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to take accountability and drive to desired results with passion and ambition.
  • Strong self-awareness and openness to different approaches and ideas.
  • MBA or other advanced degree in strategy, marketing, communications, innovation, entrepreneurship, or related fields is a plus.
