About the position

The Vice President, Open Banking Product Management Consulting at Mastercard is a global role responsible for leading the Open Banking consultancy projects. This position combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's data assets and technologies to provide strategic insights and recommendations to a diverse global customer base. The role emphasizes thought leadership, product innovation, and flawless delivery of consultancy services, while also focusing on business development and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive thought leadership of open banking in multiple regions worldwide.
  • Determine and drive the open banking consultancy product innovation agenda and product road map.
  • Ensure flawless delivery of the consultancy services product and maintain the highest standards of quality in customer relationships.
  • Work globally, being sensitive to market differences, to grow the Open Banking business and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Deliver the Open Banking Consulting revenue target.
  • Frame business problems for client projects to drive impact and client value.
  • Bring deep open banking functional knowledge and proprietary Mastercard tools to client projects.
  • Build and prioritize the consulting product roadmap for open banking in collaboration with peers and third-party consultancies.
  • Identify and develop new client opportunities for open banking consultancy.
  • Align consultancy capabilities with market needs and capitalize on Mastercard's services roadmap.
  • Develop and write content to establish an external and internal narrative for open banking.
  • Refine delivery models to ensure efficient project delivery for clients.
  • Work with clients to clearly define projects and ensure timely delivery to high standards.
  • Source data and commission market research to inform consultancy projects.
  • Display strong leadership of a small team, inspiring and developing a collaborative high-performance culture.
  • Interface with Mastercard leadership to represent the suite of products.

Requirements

  • Experience working with financial institutions as a strategic management consultant.
  • Background in building consulting products/solutions and developing intellectual capital in international consulting organizations.
  • Comfort with rigorous and advanced analytics.
  • Experience successfully leading teams and developing talent.
  • Motivated by a fast-paced environment with a reputation for impact.
  • Proven track record in project management, demonstrating initiative from strategic planning through execution.
  • Ability to quickly learn about new technologies and demonstrate subject matter expertise.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree in strategy, marketing, communications, innovation, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
