About the position

The Vice President, People at Fieldguide will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's culture and overseeing all People functions. This position is integral to the organization, focusing on hiring, retaining, and enabling top talent while aligning the People strategy with business objectives. The VP will be a strategic partner on the executive team, responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and driving initiatives that support the company's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy that supports the company's growth and aligns with core values.
  • Act as a strategic partner on the executive leadership team to ensure alignment of people strategy with business objectives.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing People Operations and Recruiting teams.
  • Foster a positive, diverse, and inclusive company culture that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversee recruitment strategy, employer branding, workforce planning, and recruitment policies.
  • Build and optimize People Ops processes and workflows for a positive employee experience.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
  • Own international expansion efforts, developing HR practices and strategies in line with local regulations.
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure People metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a VP People, Head of People, or equivalent role at a high-growth SaaS startup.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading both HR and Recruiting functions.
  • Experience leading an early stage startup through significant growth.
  • Expertise in people operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, organizational design, performance management, total rewards, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic people plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience leading international expansion efforts in regions such as EMEA, APAC, or LATAM.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
