About the position
The Vice President, Pharmacy Business Development will oversee the development and management of pharmacy programs and products at AssuredPartners. This role is pivotal in executing new pharmacy programs and strategies for Keenan Pharmacy Solutions (KPS), focusing on pharmacy benefit projects from inception to launch. The position requires extensive experience in Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and aims to lead the KPS business plan and objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of new pharmacy programs and strategies for KPS.
- Manage pharmacy benefit projects from inception to launch.
- Conduct research, pricing, and market analysis to inform product development.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on trends and innovations in the pharmacy industry.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Serve as the pharmacy product expert to enhance awareness of new products/services.
- Review and negotiate complex contracts and agreements with PBMs and vendors.
- Develop product design, pricing, and positioning strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure effective business strategy execution.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in product and business development at a senior level.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy pricing calculations and contract negotiations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
