We're seeking a future team member for the role of Product Owner to join our Payments Enablement team in the Treasury Services business line. This role is located in one of the following locations: Pittsburgh, PA; or Lake Mary, FL. The Product Owner will lead one of two feature groups - Payment Initiation or Reference Data - within the User Interface Functions Product Group. The Product Owner defines and prioritizes the product development backlog, collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, and works closely with the development team to ensure the successful delivery of the product. This role leads a cross-functional delivery pod in understanding ever-changing user needs, and prioritizing the delivery of solutions to provide the highest business value. The Product Owner also guides the team in understanding, and consistently measuring, performance metrics that inform the overall health of the Payment Initiation or Reference Data capabilities. For Payment Initiation, the Product Owner will be responsible for designing and bringing to market capabilities that enable a diverse set of business users within BNY to execute critical payments required to run our business and deliver for Clients across segments. For Reference Data, the Product Owner will be responsible for designing and bringing to market features that enable a diverse set of business users within BNY to configure capabilities that control the payments experience for both external Clients and internal users at BNY.

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize the product development backlog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Lead a cross-functional delivery pod to understand user needs and prioritize solutions.
  • Guide the team in measuring performance metrics for Payment Initiation or Reference Data capabilities.
  • Design and bring to market capabilities for Payment Initiation.
  • Design and bring to market features for Reference Data.
  • Work with UX Design and Engineering teams to identify gaps in user experience.
  • Define specifications for major features and measurement for post-release analysis.
  • Coordinate with other product teams to manage dependencies for product launch.
  • Triage product issues and recommend enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product management and agile methodology.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services.
  • Experience in both Product Management and Digital Transformation preferred.
  • Strategic thinker and proficient problem solver with demonstrated ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in wireframing.
