About the position

Google is seeking a Vice President of Product Management for the Pixel Ecosystem, responsible for leading the vision, product roadmap, and strategic direction for a range of consumer hardware products including phones, tablets, and wearables. This role involves collaboration across various teams to ensure high-quality product launches and differentiated user experiences, while also representing the Pixel brand to external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and desired outcomes for the Pixel ecosystem, including future product categories, and drive alignment across hardware, software, and AI.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle for Pixel hardware, ensuring high-quality, impactful launches that meet user needs and market demands.
  • Shape the strategic direction for Google's Tensor silicon, defining its roadmap and integration within the Pixel ecosystem to deliver differentiated user experiences.
  • Partner closely with engineering, marketing, design, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution against Pixel's strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a large team of product managers, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20 years of experience in product management roles within the consumer devices product space.
  • Experience shipping consumer hardware products.
  • Experience representing a technology brand and product line to external stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading and scaling high-performing product management teams (60+), with a proven track record of successfully delivering consumer hardware products to a global market.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer electronics landscape and competitive dynamics, particularly in the mobile and connected device space.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers.
  • Passionate about developing mobile phones and portfolio devices.
  • Track record of challenging the status quo and creating innovative, successful products.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
