About the position

The Vice President of Product Management at Learning A-Z (LAZ) is responsible for leading a team to deliver effective language learning solutions for elementary students. This role focuses on understanding customer needs through qualitative and quantitative analysis, driving impact through innovative product strategies, and collaborating with various teams to create effective learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management, particularly in the EdTech sector, and will inspire a culture of insight and agility within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize multiple discovery channels and identify viable product themes for Product Managers.
  • Identify key revenue, efficacy, and usage drivers to achieve bookings and revenue targets.
  • Formulate the portfolio strategy around impact goals.
  • Set up systems to regularly measure leading indicators and outcomes.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and market research to inform portfolio strategy and development plans.
  • Define metrics to monitor ROI and ensure product experience is designed for accessibility and expansion.
  • Create portfolio discovery plans and establish processes for rapid problem examination and solution value assessment.
  • Equip Go-To-Market partners with accurate information and tools for successful activities.
  • Innovate products based on user feedback and manage analytics assessments to inform design and priorities.
  • Model and build systems for regular engagement around insights and ensure professional growth for team members.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience leading cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • 5+ years Product Management experience at Director level or above.
  • Experience in the EdTech market and awareness of current trends in elementary literacy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strategic and creative thinking abilities.
  • Proven experience in supporting business transformation and effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams in a rapidly changing market segment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UX and learning design processes.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development practices.
