About the position

The Vice President Product Manager - Strategy and Business Operations is a key leadership role focused on shaping product innovation and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs. This position involves managing the end-to-end product life cycle, acting as the voice of the customer, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and exceed customer expectations. The role requires strategic thinking, market research, and the ability to develop a product strategy that aligns with the company's vision.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers.
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition.
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Data literacy and analysis skills, as well as an ability to interpret and make data-driven decisions, understanding and using data to craft narratives for executive audiences.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, startups, operations or similar role.
  • Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions.
  • Good communication, presentation, and influencing skills - ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • A high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging activities, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to develop subject matter expertise in new subjects quickly.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills.

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization.
