About the position

At Radian, the Vice President, Product Owner is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the overall product vision and strategy for a Radian product. This position requires a passionate advocate for the product, adept at problem-solving and maintaining a clear product roadmap. The VP, Product Owner will engage with various stakeholders, including customers, senior management, and delivery teams, ensuring that product goals align with business objectives. This role involves specifying and delivering business requirements, creating user stories, and managing the product backlog to prioritize tasks effectively. The VP, Product Owner will actively participate in Scrum meetings and sprint planning, ensuring that delivery teams have the necessary information to succeed. This position serves as the primary communicator between stakeholders and delivery teams, requiring excellent communication skills to secure buy-in on major decisions and strategies. As the voice of the customer, the VP will conduct market research and maintain ongoing conversations with customers to specify requirements for current and future product deliveries. Additionally, this role includes signing off on the completion of sprints and deployments, ensuring that all deliverables meet the established standards. In this role, you will create a comprehensive vision and strategy that supports product business and revenue goals. You will define and maintain the product roadmap, establish processes for collecting and reviewing product feedback, and develop business use cases and requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure successful execution of the product plan, and you will lead quality assurance and user acceptance testing efforts. Tracking and reporting on product progress towards goals will also be a key responsibility, along with promoting the successful adoption of the SaaS solution across various business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Create overall vision and strategy to support the product business and revenue goals and objectives.
  • Define and maintain product roadmap and establish regular processes for collecting and reviewing product feedback.
  • Develop and document business use cases and requirements to communicate expected features and functionalities.
  • Collaborate in agile and scrum meetings to ensure successful execution of the product plan.
  • Lead product-team QA and UAT test plans and testing.
  • Collaborate with marketing, legal, training, customer success, and other business areas to promote successful adoption of the SaaS solution.
  • Track and report on product progress towards customer and product goals to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Direct product experience creating, launching, and supporting a product preferably in Fintech, Real Estate Tech, Property Tech, or InsurTech.
  • Extensive knowledge of agile and scrum principles.
  • Knowledge of the product delivery and software development life cycle and the tools and technology commonly used to support product management.
  • Knowledge of customer success and training techniques.
  • Knowledge of real estate markets and agent activities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate with clarity to a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identifying different alternatives, selecting, and implementing the best alternative, and evaluating results quickly and critically.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing on strategic initiatives both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a pipeline.
  • Extensive experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and product management tools.
  • Extensive experience with design and wireframe tools (Figma) to support vision definition.
