About the position

The Vice President Product Portfolio Operations Manager for the Consumer Bank Business is a key role focused on enhancing operational efficiency and strategic alignment across product lines. This position involves implementing connectivity strategies, managing product portfolio priorities, and ensuring effective communication between various stakeholders. The role requires a strong emphasis on agile product development practices and operational excellence to meet business objectives and improve product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Works across products to ensure delivery against business objectives while coordinating reporting and communications plans for portfolio management operations and change initiatives.
  • Enables operational efficiency by supporting training, maturation, needs assessments, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Drives adaptation and modification of the product-line framework to ensure cross-product priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs are realized.
  • Implements a product-level collection strategy consisting of controls, financials, and resourcing needs.
  • Establishes a partner communication framework to create awareness and alignment between Digital and Consumer Bank strategic objectives and initiatives.
  • Partners closely with CB and Digital Product Owners, Technology Leads, Design Leads, and Data Owners to manage product portfolio priorities, capacity, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Implements agile product development best practices aligned with Consumer Bank Agility Office standards; facilitates adoption of best practices with product teams.
  • Aligns product portfolio priorities to strategic business objectives and desired P&L outcomes.
  • Ensures product development tools and resources are being used effectively (e.g., Jira).
  • Prepares senior management updates including Portfolio Reviews (PR), bi-weekly Product Updates, and Executive Management Reports (EMR).
  • Supports special projects and executive requests and synthesizes complex information in a strategic and compelling way for effective communication to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Proven ability to operate within the product development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in agile product development methodology.
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high-quality communications, presentations, and reporting for various stakeholder groups.
  • Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility.
  • Advanced level experience in all Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Confluence, and Jira.
  • Must be self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with a high degree of independence.
