About the position

The Vice President, Quant Development role at Fidelity Investments involves leading the Quantitative Research & Investing Technology team to develop the Multi Asset Class Risk Platform for the Asset Management team. This position requires collaboration with Investment Risk Analysts and other business and technology leaders to define strategic priorities and enhance team capabilities. The role emphasizes continuous personal and team development, technical leadership, and the application of advanced quantitative techniques in investment risk systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Investment Risk Analysts to define and develop the Multi Asset Class Risk Platform.
  • Partner with Fidelity business and technology leaders to identify and define strategic priorities.
  • Bring new ideas and insights to improve team contributions and capabilities.
  • Commit to ongoing personal development and knowledge enhancement.
  • Propagate best practices in collaboration with senior leaders in AM Tech.
  • Prepare design artifacts and implement solutions as part of technical leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks, and languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or computational field such as Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.
  • Demonstrated experience in building investment risk systems for Buyside Asset Management organizations.
  • Domain knowledge in equities, fixed income, or alternative asset classes.
  • Familiarity with advanced quantitative techniques, statistics, and econometrics.
  • Financial services experience, preferably in an Asset Management environment.
  • Experience with Containerization strategies using Docker and Serverless Application Architectures.
  • Experience with API Management, domain modeling, and policy modeling.
  • Experience in Client-Side technologies like HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular.
  • Experience with CI/CD infrastructure as code and pipeline as code.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration, static code analysis, and test-driven development.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
