About the position

The Vice President of Regional Security at Mastercard will lead the Regional Security function within Corporate Security, focusing on both Physical and Cyber Security. This role is crucial for ensuring the security of Mastercard's assets globally and involves managing a large cross-regional team of security specialists. The position requires collaboration with senior leadership and various stakeholders to promote a culture of security and compliance, while also representing Mastercard in external forums.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver on the Regional Security strategy for ensuring security of Mastercard assets globally.
  • Lead a team of experienced, cross-regional security professionals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on Cyber and Physical Security matters.
  • Lead Physical Security operations across Mastercard offices and coordinate crisis and incident response.
  • Promote security culture and drive metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Security team and stakeholders to implement security requirements from audits and compliance obligations.
  • Manage the function budget, resourcing needs, and security vendor relationships.
  • Represent Mastercard on external forums and drive partnerships to promote security thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of physical and cyber security operations and governance.
  • Experience in managing security programs in diverse cultural and legal environments.
  • Proven senior stakeholder management and crisis situation handling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
  • Ability to provide security consultation and advisory to business processes.
  • Confident and analytical with strong communication skills.
