About the position

The Vice President of Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley is responsible for conducting ongoing investment due diligence, analysis, and reporting to institutional clients. This role involves investment manager due diligence and selection, asset class research, portfolio construction, macroeconomic and industry research, and managing client-facing responsibilities. The position is critical to delineating the firm's investment policy and supporting its strategic growth initiatives in the investment consulting market.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing investment due diligence and analysis for institutional clients.
• Perform investment manager due diligence and selection.
• Engage in asset class research and portfolio construction.
• Conduct macroeconomic and industry research.
• Manage client-facing responsibilities and client project development.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required.
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the investment or consulting industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and producing client-facing research or investment deliverables.
• Familiarity with investment and financial analysis platforms such as Bloomberg, eVestment, and Morningstar Direct is preferred.
• Desire to progress towards the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
