About the position

We are an established Private Equity group that is actively acquiring Residential Solar EPCs across the United States. With a portfolio of over 40 EPCs in 7 states, we operate these EPCs in a hybrid model, functioning both as subcontractors for some of the largest EPCs in the country and independently producing jobs through a growing dealer sales network. We are currently seeking a Head of Construction Operations to lead the standardization, assimilation, and continuous improvement of our construction operations model on a national scale. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential solar construction operations, having served as at least a 2nd line manager, and will be tech-savvy with a proven track record of overseeing a minimum of 10,000 jobs per month. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and driving our national expansion in residential solar construction operations. Providing the best construction operations in the industry is the cornerstone of our strategy, and we are looking for a leader who is dedicated to achieving the shortest possible install durations at scale. You will be a strategic thinker focused on designing systems and processes that are efficient, scalable, and flexible enough to adapt to evolving conditions. Your leadership will be crucial in evaluating existing staff, systems, and processes, as well as recruiting, mentoring, and managing the operations team. You will also be responsible for onboarding newly acquired EPCs and scaling systems and staff to support over 30,000 installs per month. This position allows for remote work from anywhere in the USA, with travel expectations of up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in residential solar construction operations
  • 3+ years experience as a manager of managers in residential solar sales
  • Has led a construction operations organization of at least 30 employees
  • Extensive experience managing outsourced partners both onshore and offshore
  • Has owned overall construction operations efforts for at least one state, ideally a multi-state or national territory
