Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and sustain a vibrant sales pipeline within policy and corporate markets, driving consistent and impressive revenue growth.
  • Use deep knowledge of Congress and policy to work with editorial leaders to craft personalized packages across event, branded content, digital advertising and sponsorship opportunities that close deals and win over clients.
  • Manage and grow complex relationships across multiple levels of client organizations, ensuring long-term satisfaction and partnership.
  • Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing best-in-class service and support across multiple business units and departments within a client organization.
  • Work with marketing team to conceptualize, prepare, and deliver compelling sales presentations, collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with client objectives.
  • Drive outsized revenue growth by achieving and exceeding $2M annual sales targets through strategic account planning and engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements that impact key accounts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in consultative sales and account management, particularly within policy and corporate markets.
  • Strong understanding of Congress and public policy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to conceptualize and deliver compelling sales presentations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in digital media or journalism-related sales.
  • Familiarity with event management and sponsorship sales.
